Our very first short story submission comes courtesy of Cynthia King from Upstate New York. She’s a reading, writing, mom of two (mostly) functioning adults with dreams of one day publishing a full-length novel. “Love Delayed” is a romance that takes place over 24 hours.
Long before the diamond ever landed in modern possession, it belonged to a man named Gregory Stratford. At that time, it was not part of a ring, but rather the main facet of a decorative hair comb made for his favorite daughter’s 26th birthday.
Here is the key to effectively setting goals: set small ones that are easy to accomplish. It sounds like a cop-out, yeah, but we are far less likely to follow through with (or even start) something that seems hard.
Here’s what you’re going to do. You’re going to take that mess of a first draft manuscript and turn it into an ebook. Do I sound crazy? Absolutely. But don’t write me off just yet.
